Beirut: A Lebanese was killed on Sunday morning after an Israeli army drone targeted a civilian vehicle on the Sawana-Khirbet Selm road in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center confirmed in a statement that the Israeli strike resulted in the killing of one citizen.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier on Saturday evening, reports indicated movements of Israeli military vehicles near a newly established post on Jabal Al-Bat, close to the town of Aytaroun, accompanied by low-altitude flights of quadcopter drones over the area.
Southern Lebanon has experienced continuous Israeli escalation in recent weeks, including near-daily air and artillery strikes, alongside frequent drone flights over the region extending to the Litani River.
