Lammy Condemns Israeli Army Minister’s Remarks on Gaza’s ‘Total Destruction’

London: Britain's Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, has condemned Israeli Army Minister Israel Katz's recent remarks threatening the "total devastation" of Gaza. The remarks, made on social media on Wednesday, came amid a fresh wave of Israeli bombings on Gaza following the collapse of a ceasefire with Hamas.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Katz wrote on social media: "What follows will be far more severe - you will pay the full price. Return the hostages and remove Hamas - the alternative is total devastation." Lammy, responding in the House of Commons, firmly condemned these words, urging Katz to retract them.

Lammy stated, "I do condemn those words, and I would ask Minister Katz, who is very experienced, to withdraw them."

In addition, Lammy addressed a separate incident involving a British national injured in an Israeli airstrike on a U.N. compound in Gaza on Wednesday. He called for a transparent investigation into the incident and insisted that those responsible be held accountable for the attack.
