Kuwait: Kuwait's Jazeera Airways diverted its operations on Sunday to Qaisumah Airport in Hafr al-Batin in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province due to the temporary closure of the country's airspace, the state news agency KUNA reported. The airline stated that the airport is located approximately two and a half hours from Kuwait.
According to Anadolu Agency, arriving passengers can continue their journey by road into Kuwait, and departing passengers can travel to the airport by road, provided they possess a valid visa to enter Saudi Arabia.
Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran last week, resulting in more than 1,200 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials. Tehran retaliated with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries that host US military assets.
