Jerusalem:Voter turnout in the ongoing Knesset elections reached 44.9% by 2 pm, as reported by Israeli sources on Tuesday evening.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, polling stations were opened on Tuesday morning across Israel and the 1948 Territories for the election of members to the 26th Knesset. A total of 36 electoral lists are competing for 120 available seats.

The Israeli Central Elections Committee has indicated that approximately 7.33 million voters are eligible to participate in this election. The elections are conducted under a proportional representation system, which mandates that an electoral list must secure at least 3.25% of valid votes to qualify for seat allocation. Surplus-vote agreements between lists influence the distribution of the remaining seats.
