Jerusalem: Extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir, the former Israeli 'security' minister, alongside his far-right Otzma Yehudit party, has introduced a bill to the Knesset (Israeli parliament) aiming to annul the Oslo Accords, the Hebron Protocol, and the Wye River Memorandum, which are significant agreements between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ben-Gvir announced the proposal in a statement on Sunday. The bill aims to revert the situation to its state prior to the signing of these agreements, including reclaiming lands transferred under these arrangements.
The text of the bill specifies that existing laws enforcing these agreements would be repealed. It also proposes granting the Israeli Prime Minister the authority to issue regulations for implementing the proposed law, which includes taking steps to nullify the outcomes of the aforementioned agreements.
