Brussels: King Abdullah II of Jordan firmly reiterated today his country's unwavering support for the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state on their own land and achieve their legitimate rights through the implementation of the two-state solution. King Abdullah made the remarks during separate meetings in Brussels with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, and European Council President Ant³nio Costa.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, King Abdullah warned of the dangers of escalation in the West Bank and the violations faced by Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. The King also emphasized the need to establish and sustain a ceasefire in Gaza to enhance security and stability in the region, highlighting the EU's important role in advancing peace efforts.
He stressed the importance of increasing humanitarian aid to Gaza and reiterated Jordan's commitment to providing relief efforts through all possible means.
