Amman: Jordanian King Abdullah II affirmed today his country's firm position on the Palestinian cause, rejecting displacement, colony, and an alternative homeland. King Abdullah II stressed, during his speech on the occasion of the Loyalty Day for Retired Military Personnel and Veterans, in the presence of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, that his position has not and will not change, and that the saying for 25 years is, "No to displacement, no to settlement, no to an alternative homeland." According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, he further denounced some people's doubts about these firm positions, stressing the importance of working to rebuild Gaza without displacing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. The King reaffirmed the importance of working to reduce escalation in the West Bank, stressing that achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution is the only way to achieve stability in the region.
