King of Bahrain Advocates for Peace as the Path to Palestinian Rights

Cairo: King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa stated on Tuesday that adhering to the path of lasting and comprehensive peace is crucial for the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate historical rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent national state.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during his address at the Arab summit in Cairo, Al Khalifa underscored the importance of the two-state solution as outlined by the Arab Peace Initiative, United Nations resolutions, subsequent Arab plans, and the summit's decisions. He expressed opposition to any efforts or suggestions aimed at the forced displacement of Palestinians or reinforcing Israeli settler-colonialism, while also praising Egypt's initiative concerning the Gaza Strip.

Al Khalifa urged support for the Egyptian initiative due to its role in fostering fraternal ties, safeguarding national security, and enhancing the collective ability to address challenges to common Arab interests, ensuring development achievements and pathways for progress and prosperity.
