Jewish Activists Begin Open-Ended Hunger Strike to Protest Israel’s Genocide in Gaza

Chicago: Jewish activists in Chicago, Illinois, have begun an open-ended hunger strike to protest the ongoing Israeli occupation massacres in the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the strike is led by leaders of the Jewish Voice for Peace organization, including academics, and aims to pressure for an end to US military funding to Israel and an end to the food and medicine blockade that has led to a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The activists have expressed their support for the passage of a law aimed at halting arms exports to Israel. This strike coincides with a mass event organized in Chicago demanding an end to arms supplies to Israel and relief for the people in the Gaza Strip.

The event included participation from university students and Congresswoman Dalia Ramirez, one of the members of Congress who introduced the "Stop Arms Exports to Israel" bill.
