Nablus: Israeli occupation forces forced shop owners in the town of Huwara, south of Nablus, to close their shops on Wednesday. Rana Abu Haniyeh, head of the Public Relations Department at the Huwara Municipality, stated that the occupation forces compelled shop owners on the outskirts of the main street to shut their shops at gunpoint, following raids on several homes in the town.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the town of Huwara has been enduring a severe siege by the occupation forces since February 2023. This situation is compounded by settler attacks and the installation of additional iron gates within the town, further restricting movement and access for residents.
