GAZA CITY: Israeli air and artillery strikes on Saturday resulted in the deaths of at least six Palestinians and left dozens injured across several areas, including Gaza City and Khan Younis.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources indicated that an Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle near Al-Sahaba Medical Complex in Gaza City, leading to the deaths of five individuals. Additional strikes affected a residential building on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street and a home belonging to the Shahin family on Yafa Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, causing injuries to several civilians.
In central Gaza's Deir al-Balah, Israeli forces shelled a group of civilians near Ansar Mosque. As a result, several sustained injuries. Medical officials confirmed the death of a young girl, Mira Mohammad Abu Sabra, who succumbed to injuries from an earlier strike near Abu Samra roundabout.
In southern Gaza, heavy artillery fire impacted the Abu Khater district near the Islamic University in Khan Younis. Israeli drones also opened fire on the town of Al-Qarara, leading to the demolition of several residential buildings by Israeli forces.
A strike on a tent sheltering displaced families in Al-Mawasi, north of Khan Younis, resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries. In Abasan Al-Jadida, east of Khan Younis, emergency teams worked to retrieve bodies from under the debris. Walid Hassan Abu Deqqa died from injuries sustained in an earlier strike on Al-Mawasi, where his son was also killed. Another civilian was confirmed dead following an earlier strike in central Khan Younis.
Rescue operations continue amid ongoing aerial surveillance and bombardment, with civil defense teams facing challenges in accessing areas under intense fire.
