Deir al-Balah: An Israeli strike on Thursday evening killed three Palestinian civilians and injured others in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Israeli fighter jets targeted the house of the Abu Sabt family in the al-Birkeh area, resulting in the fatalities and injuries.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18. This resumption has led to a wave of airstrikes across the region, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians. Medical sources report that the death toll has reached at least 3,613, with 10,156 others wounded.
In the last 24 hours alone, Gaza hospitals have admitted the bodies of 107 slain Palestinians and 247 casualties. The renewed aggression comes amidst concerns over the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip due to the ongoing siege and a ban on the entry of medical and humanitarian aid.
Since October 2023, Israel has conducted a military onslaught on the Strip, resulting in the deaths of 53,762 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 122,197 others. Additionally, at least 10,000 individuals are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes.
The aggression has also led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip. Most of the displaced have been forced into the densely populated southern city of Rafah, near the border with Egypt, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
