Khan younes: An Israeli strike on Wednesday targeted the Asdaa intersection, west of Khan Younes in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 civilians and injuries to dozens more.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, an Israeli combat drone targeted a civilian vehicle near the intersection, resulting in the deaths of four displaced individuals and injuries to many others. Additionally, another Israeli strike targeted a house belonging to the Shbeir family in the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, leading to the deaths of four and injuries to others.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces opened fire at a displaced person near the al-Shuhada Junction in the central Strip, resulting in a fatality. Concurrently, Israeli fighter jets targeted a camp of displaced people in the Daraj neighborhood in the center of Gaza City, killing a displaced female and injuring others, with most of the injuries reported to be serious.
A series of airstrikes also hit several houses near al-Mahatta Mosque in the At-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City, causing multiple civilian casualties and injuries.
Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, executing a wave of airstrikes across the Strip and resulting in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians. The current death toll stands at at least 7,118, with 25,368 others wounded, as reported by medical sources. In the past 24 hours alone, 105 slain Palestinians and 530 casualties have been admitted to Gaza hospitals.
The military onslaught on the Strip, ongoing since October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of 57,680 Palestinians and injuries to 137,409 others. Furthermore, at least 10,000 individuals are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes across the Strip.
The conflict has led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people throughout the Gaza Strip, with most being relocated to the crowded southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
