Israeli Soldiers Compel Shops to Open in Anata Amid Strike Over Death Penalty Law

Anata: Israeli occupation forces forced Palestinian shop owners in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, to open their businesses amid a heavy military presence, despite a general strike called by the Fatah movement yesterday, Tuesday, in protest of Israel's recently passed death penalty law targeting Palestinian prisoners.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli foot soldiers also deployed around Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, and raided several neighborhoods, breaking down doors during searches.
