Gaza: Israeli occupation authorities released eight detainees from the Gaza Strip today. Local sources reported that the released detainees were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, via the International Committee of the Red Cross. The detainees are set to undergo necessary medical examinations following their prolonged detention. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) have highlighted the harsh conditions faced by detainees. Testimonies from those released reveal a prison system that employs all means possible to strip detainees of their humanity and break them psychologically. The ongoing situation, marked by 20 months of genocide, has seen little to no improvement in detention conditions. The relentless nature of this crisis continues to impact the fate of detainees, as the brutality shows no sign of abating.
