Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces killed 45 Palestinians and wounded 232 others within a single week, according to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Media Observatory on Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians. The violence took place between July 28 and August 3, 2026, with 45 Palestinians killed and 211 wounded in the Gaza Strip, and 21 wounded in the West Bank. Since October 7, 2023, the total number of Palestinians killed has reached 74,526, with 179,198 reported injuries.
According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the OIC Observatory also documented 344 incursions by Israeli forces into West Bank cities and villages during the same period, resulting in the arrest of 162 Palestinians. Furthermore, the observatory logged 134 settler attacks, 22 settler activities, and 1,052 crimes in various West Bank areas.
In the West Bank, occupation forces demolished 17 homes, a horse farm, nine barns, fences, and confiscated land and equipment, including a road roller, vehicle, and mobile home. They issued confiscation orders for 12 plots of land, totaling 164,515 dunams, and bulldozed land for settlement expansion. Settlers took similar actions, expanding settlement outposts and damaging agricultural lands in multiple regions, including Ramallah, Qalqilya, and Nablus.
Israeli forces detained students and staff at the Qalandia Technical Training Institute and shut down the Holy Quran Radio station in Qalqilya. Violence extended to minors, with settlers assaulting a six-year-old girl in Masafer Yatta and shooting a child near Al-Mughayyir. Attacks on religious sites were also reported, with extremist settlers targeting the Armenian Church in Jerusalem.
The OIC recorded 16 incidents of settlers releasing livestock into residential and agricultural areas, causing extensive property damage. Settlers also set fire to agricultural plots and infrastructure across Ramallah, Nablus, and Hebron. Further, they cut down trees, seized vehicles and equipment, and disrupted essential services like water and electricity in several towns and villages.
Settlement activity continued unabated, with settlers erecting mobile homes and establishing new outposts in Jericho, Beit Sahour, and Nablus, among other locations. Colonists seized a house in Deir Ammar, Ramallah, and converted public spaces, such as Al-Bireh's story spring, into private recreational areas. The Kedumim colony council announced a new outpost, and further expansion projects were noted near the apartheid wall and on the outskirts of Taybeh.
