Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces on Thursday morning closed the Atara and Nabi Saleh checkpoints north of Ramallah. WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces closed the Atara checkpoint in all directions and sealed off the entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, forcing residents to take lengthy alternative routes.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the forces also set up a military checkpoint at the entrances to the villages of Aboud and Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah. The presence of the military checkpoints impeded the movement of residents by randomly stopping and searching vehicles, which caused heavy traffic congestion in the area.
