Husan: Israeli occupation forces uprooted dozens of ancient olive trees on Tuesday in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Rami Hamamreh, head of the Husan Village Council, reported that Israeli forces bulldozed agricultural lands spanning 600 meters near the junction of the illegal Beitar Illit colony, resulting in the uprooting of dozens of olive trees.
The incident has raised concerns among local villagers and officials, highlighting the ongoing tensions in the region over land use and sovereignty. Olive trees hold significant cultural and economic value for the Palestinian community, and their destruction is seen as a considerable loss to the village's agricultural heritage.
