Israeli Forces Storm Southern West Bank Town

Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening stormed Nahalin town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to local sources. The occupying forces entered the town during the time of Iftar, with soldiers breaking into and ransacking several houses.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the soldiers unleashed barrages of tear gas and tear gas canisters and erected barricades in the town, stopping vehicles and passers-by. The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, leading to clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in line with its broad and arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
