Tulkarm: Israeli forces detained a young man on Wednesday after shooting and wounding him in the thigh with live ammunition, while he was leaving his home with his sister in the northern neighborhood of Tulkarm. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire on Khader Muhammad Shahada and his sister, Sadeel, as they exited their house, resulting in both being wounded in the thigh. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society informed WAFA that its crews received a report of two injured persons behind the Martyr Thabet Governmental Hospital. Upon arriving at the scene, they encountered a large number of Israeli military vehicles surrounding the area, which hindered their ability to reach the injured individuals. The PRCS successfully transferred the 19-year-old girl to Martyr Thabet Hospital with a gunshot wound to the thigh. However, Israeli soldiers prevented the medical teams from accessing her injured brother, detaining him and taking him to a n undisclosed location. The two injured siblings are the children of Muhammad Shahada, a Fatah official in the Tulkarm refugee camp. This incident occurs amid ongoing tensions and aggression by the occupation against the city of Tulkarm and its two camps, now in its 367th consecutive day.
