Israeli Forces Release 11 Palestinian Detainees from Gaza Strip

Gaza Strip: Israeli occupation forces released 11 Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip on Monday. WAFA correspondent reported that the detainees were transferred to the European Hospital in Khan Yunis through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a report by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Society highlighted ongoing concerns regarding the treatment of detainees. The report stated that the prison system has been employing various methods to undermine the detainees' humanity and affect them psychologically. Despite the passage of nineteen months since the events referred to as genocide, the conditions faced by the detainees have not improved, with the report noting that they are, in fact, worsening. The report emphasized that time plays a crucial role in determining the fate of detainees while the current harsh conditions persist.

The report also noted that as of April 2025, the number of Gaza detainees officially recognized by the prison system stood at 1,747. This figure excludes those held in camps operated by the occupation army.
