Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, and Hizma, northeast of Jerusalem, on Tuesday morning. The raids involved searches of local shops and increased military presence in the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that tax department personnel from the Israeli-controlled Jerusalem municipality conducted searches in several shops in the al-Abbasiya neighborhood of Silwan. These actions have heightened tensions in the region, as the searches were part of a broader operation in the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces also conducted a raid in Hizma, utilizing military vehicles to patrol the streets. The presence of military vehicles added to the tension in the town, reflecting the ongoing complexities of the region's security situation.
