Gaza: Israeli occupation forces stormed Birzeit University north of Ramallah at dawn on Monday and assaulted a security guard.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, security sources reported that the forces, backed by military reinforcements, entered the university campus and beat guard Bashir Za'loul al-Khatib, who is 40 years old. They also raided the eastern wing of the Faculty of Sports and destroyed its contents.
The sources added that such incursions into Birzeit University have become recurrent. These incidents often involve arrests of students, assaults on staff, and destruction of property belonging to student activities, as well as confiscation of materials and equipment.
