Israeli Forces Open Fire on Car, Injuring Three in Northern West Bank Village

Deir Ghazaleh: Israeli occupation forces opened gunfire at a Palestinian-registered car, injuring three Palestinians in Deir Ghazaleh village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening, as reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The PRCS stated that its crews transported two villagers to a hospital. One individual sustained a gunshot injury in the thigh, and another was injured in the lower back. Additionally, another person was injured after being beaten by the occupation soldiers. Local sources reported that Israeli special forces infiltrated the village, targeted a young man in a car, and obstructed medics from reaching the scene.

Information regarding the condition and identity of the young man remains unavailable. Following the shooting, military reinforcements were deployed in the village. The sources confirmed that soldiers detained a man, his wife, and their son after besieging their home.

The occupation forces conduct frequent raids on Palestinian houses across the West Bank, claiming to search for 'wanted' Palestinians, which often results in clashes with residents. These operations are carried out without search warrants, under the military's broad powers. Israeli military law grants army commanders full control over the lives of 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, leaving Palestinians with no influence over how these powers are exercised.
