Gaza city: Israeli occupation forces on Friday killed a Palestinian in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources. They reported that the occupation forces fatally shot 43-year-old Husam Abu Khusa in the al-Atattra area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, earlier on Friday, Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of five Palestinians and injuries to others in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip. Since a ceasefire agreement went into effect at noon on October 10, 2025, the occupation forces have killed at least 618 Palestinians and injured 1,663 others, with the bodies of 726 Palestinians being retrieved in the same timeframe.
Israel has conducted a military campaign on the Strip since October 2023, leading to the deaths of at least 72,082 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and causing injuries to 171,761 others. Additionally, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli offensive has also caused the displacement of nearly two million people across the Gaza Strip. The vast majority of the displaced have been forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
