Post: Israeli Forces Issue Stop-Work Orders in Wadi Rahhal

Wadi rahhal: Israeli occupation forces have issued stop-work orders for several homes and agricultural structures in the village of Wadi Rahhal, located south of Bethlehem. The orders were given under the pretext of construction without the necessary permits.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Wadi Rahhal, Zuhair Ziyada, reported that the stop-work notices targeted eight homes that are currently under construction. These properties belong to residents Othman Mahmoud Al-Fawaghra, Samer Da'na, Ismat Sanad, Ibrahim Abu Srour, Adnan Abu Srour, and Suha Mohammad Salim. Additionally, two other homes received stop-work orders, but the owners have not yet been identified.

Ziyada further mentioned that the authorities ordered a halt to the completion of his own home, particularly a tiled-roof room. Notices were also issued for two agricultural rooms owned by Othman Mahmoud Al-Fawaghra and Samih Abdul Karim Rahhal.

Israeli authorities have been maintaining a policy of demolishing homes and issuing stop-work and removal orders across extensive areas of the occupied West Bank. This practice is particularly prevalent in Area C, where obtaining building licenses is challenging due to stringent restrictions imposed on Palestinians.
