Israeli Forces Issue Land Seizure Order to Build Fence Near Salfit

Salfit: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday delivered a military notice to seize approximately 3.5 dunums of land in the town of Kafr ad-Dik, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, for the construction of a separation fence, according to local officials.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mahmoud ad-Dik, spokesperson for the Kafr ad-Dik municipality, stated that the planned fence will run alongside residential homes. The land in question is privately owned by local residents and has previously been subjected to bulldozing and olive tree uprooting by Israeli forces, which appears to be an effort to prepare the area for future confiscation and settlement expansion.

In addition to the seizure notice, Israeli authorities have also issued a warning to remove and uproot trees from an additional 10 dunums of land in the same area. Local residents view this move as part of a broader policy aimed at expanding settlements at the expense of Palestinian agricultural land and livelihoods.
