Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday issued demolition orders against seven homes in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, according to security sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, sources indicated that Israeli soldiers stormed the Umm Rokba area and handed demolition notices against seven houses belonging to Palestinian residents. The Umm Rokba area has been increasingly targeted by Israeli colonial expansion and is surrounded by several illegal colonies, most notably Efrat and Elazar.
The area has become a focal point for the growth of the settlement bloc known as 'Gush Etzion.' Palestinian residents in the area face ongoing challenges as tensions continue to rise due to the expansion of nearby settlements.
