Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday notified several shops and commercial establishments of their intention to demolish them and suspend operations in the town of al-Ramadin, south of Hebron.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces issued these notices to establishments located at the entrance to al-Ramadin and along the main road leading to the town of al-Dhahiriya. This is the latest in a series of actions by the forces in the region.
About a month ago, the forces had already notified more than 30 shops and commercial establishments of demolition and operation suspension intentions in the same area. They also bulldozed the entrances to many shops and commercial establishments and constructed a trench along the road. This measure was reportedly taken to prevent residents and customers from accessing these businesses, thus forcing owners to close them.
In December of last year, more than 40 shops and commercial establishments in this area were demolished by the occupation forces after the owners were forcibly evacuated.
