Israeli Forces Intensify Security Measures Near Jerusalem and Ramallah

Jerusalem: Israeli forces took significant action on Sunday evening by sealing off entrances to towns near Jerusalem and Ramallah. The Israeli occupation army specifically targeted the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, where they closed the two iron gates at the town's entrances, established military checkpoints, and restricted vehicle movement, resulting in traffic congestion.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces also stormed the town of Birzeit, located north of Ramallah, later that evening. A unit of the occupation army was deployed across various areas of Birzeit, although no detentions were reported during the operation.

In addition to these measures, Israeli forces closed most military checkpoints surrounding the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh. They also sealed the entrances to several villages and towns throughout the governorate, escalating the security situation in the region.
