Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces raided Shuafat refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday, amid heavy deployment across its streets and neighborhoods, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters during the raid, causing tension in the area, with no injuries reported. In a related development, the occupation authorities handed two Jerusalemite youths orders barring them from entering the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque for a week, with the possibility of renewal. This action is part of an ongoing policy of expulsion targeting Jerusalemites.
These measures are part of the escalating and restrictive policies pursued by the occupation authorities against the people of Jerusalem. The actions are also indicative of the ongoing targeting of worshippers and those maintaining a presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
