Israeli Forces Install Iron Gates in Al-Auja Town, Tighten Siege on Jericho

Jericho: Israeli forces installed two iron gates in the town of Al-Auja north of Jericho on Monday night, further tightening their control over the area, according to security sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the gates were strategically placed at two locations: one on cemetery street and another near commercial shops on al-Auja Street. This installation is part of the ongoing restrictions imposed on Jericho by Israeli forces since yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military continues to enforce a strict siege on the city of Jericho and its surrounding refugee camps, including the villages of ad Duyuk and An-Nuway'imah. The forces have closed off all secondary and dirt roads leading to Jericho with military and earth barriers, effectively preventing Palestinian residents from entering or leaving the city.

Since Sunday, Israeli forces have maintained the closure of all checkpoints and military gates around Jericho, further restricting movement and causing severe traffic congestion.
