Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday morning closed the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, effectively placing the community under a full blockade. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the village council reported that soldiers sealed the western entrance in both directions, preventing residents from entering or leaving. This road had been the only functioning access point after the eastern entrance was shut down by the army in October 2023. He explained that the closure amounts to a complete siege on the village, disrupting all aspects of daily life. Most residents work outside the village, while over 80 percent of schoolteachers commute from neighboring areas, meaning classes could be suspended if the closure continues. Israeli forces frequently enforce closures, roadblocks, and checkpoints across the occupied West Bank, restricting Palestinian movement and access to work, healthcare, and education.
