Jericho: Israeli forces on Thursday evening forced two Palestinian Bedouin families from the Al-Balqaa community, north of Jericho, to leave the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hasan Mleihat, General Supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the community and compelled the families of Suleiman Khaled Kaabneh and Khaled Suleiman Kaabneh to vacate the area east of Al-Balqaa, north of Jericho.
Mleihat highlighted that these families had already been displaced from the Furush Beit Dajan area, southeast of Nablus, on October 8, and are now experiencing displacement once more. He emphasized that Bedouin communities in Jericho and the Jordan Valley are encountering increased attacks by colonists, in addition to forced displacement by occupation authorities and the appropriation of extensive land areas.
