Post: Israeli Forces Establish Military Infrastructure in Hebron’s Old City

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces installed an iron gate at the entrance to Hebron's Old City and a military tower on the roof of the old municipality building.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Israeli troops set up a military tower on the roof of the old municipality building and an iron gate at the Old City entrance, known as "Ein al-Askar/Bab al-Baladiya al-Qadima" (Old Municipality Gate). This location is adjacent to the Osama bin Munqidh School, which Israeli authorities had previously converted into a religious institute for training rabbis and renamed the settlement outpost 'Beit Romano.'

The area where the installations took place is significant as it serves as a main road connecting Hebron to the Old City and the Ibrahimi Mosque.
