Post: Israeli Forces Establish Checkpoint West of Bethlehem, Disrupting Citizen Movement

Bethlehem:Israeli occupation forces established a military checkpoint on Tuesday at the main entrance to the western countryside of Bethlehem Governorate. This action has obstructed the movement of citizens, causing delays for individuals traveling to workplaces and educational institutions.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the checkpoint was set up between Al-Shouli and Aqabat Hasna on the main road leading to the towns of Nahalin and Battir, as well as the villages of Husan and Wadi Fukin. The presence of the checkpoint has led to significant delays for local residents.

Local reports indicate that occupation soldiers are stopping vehicles and inspecting identification cards of citizens. This has notably affected students, employees, and other residents, preventing them from reaching their destinations on time. The area of Al-Shouli and Aqabat Hasna serves as a crucial access point to the western countryside of Bethlehem Governorate and is often subjected to such military measures, which include vehicle searches and ID checks.
