Beit ummar: Israeli occupation forces on Friday imposed a curfew on the town of Beit Ummar, located north of Hebron, resulting in dozens of Palestinians experiencing tear gas inhalation. The curfew led to a significant disruption of daily life in the town.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, media activist Mohammad Awad reported that Israeli forces stormed the town, imposed a curfew, and prevented essential services such as shops, pharmacies, and bakeries from operating. Residents were also barred from attending Friday prayers, and tear gas canisters were fired towards homes, leading to numerous cases of suffocation.
The forces further escalated their control by blocking over 30 side roads with dirt mounds and concrete blocks. Several Palestinians were briefly detained in the town center and subjected to abuse, exacerbating the tension and distress among the residents.
