Hebron:Israeli occupation forces on Thursday displaced several Palestinian families in the southern part of Hebron city, converting their homes into military posts.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, Israeli forces raided the Abu Sneineh neighborhood, storming a residential building and forcing residents to leave before transforming it into a military outpost.
Kefah Abu Sneineh, a resident, highlighted that families from the six-story building, housing approximately 50 people including women, children, patients, and the elderly, were given less than five minutes to gather belongings before being ordered out. In the Jaber neighborhood, Majed Jaber and his family of ten were also evicted and their home was converted into a military barracks.
Additionally, Israeli forces have intensified restrictions and military measures against Palestinian citizens in Hebron. This escalation occurs ahead of the expected arrival of Israeli settlers to the Ibrahimi Mosque and Hebron's Old City for the Jewish celebration "Shabbat Sarah," an event often accompanied by violent incidents against Palestinians and their properties.
