Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces detained a citizen from the Umm al-Sharait neighborhood in al-Bireh on Wednesday. Security sources told WAFA that the occupation forces surrounded a residential building and detained Hamza Adnan Mohammad Shahin.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident took place in the early hours of the morning, causing disruption in the neighborhood as military vehicles blocked access to the area. Residents reportedly witnessed a large number of Israeli forces entering the building where Shahin was located.
The detention has raised concerns among local residents, with many questioning the reasons behind the operation. The Israeli forces have not released an official statement regarding the detention or the charges against Shahin.
The Umm al-Sharait neighborhood, which is part of the larger al-Bireh region near Ramallah, has seen similar operations in the past, contributing to ongoing tensions between the local population and Israeli authorities.
