Hebron:Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians in the Hebron governorate, located in the occupied West Bank, and sealed off all entrances and exits to the area on Friday.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the detainees have been identified as Jamal al-Din al-Huraybat from Beit al-Roush, southwest of Hebron, and Mohammad Zaitoun al-Halaika from al-Shuyukh, east of the city.
Palestinian security sources revealed that Israeli forces conducted raids in several homes within the al-Arroub refugee camp, searching and ransacking the interiors. No additional detentions were reported during these operations.
A WAFA correspondent noted that Israeli forces closed checkpoints and iron gates at all entry and exit points to the governorate, effectively stopping Palestinian residents from moving between areas. These closures followed an earlier incident where Israeli forces reportedly opened live fire at two young men at the northern entrance to Hebron, injuring them, with preliminary reports suggesting both individuals may have been killed.
