Israeli Forces Detain Two Brothers in Qalqilya and Colonists Vandalize Property

Qalqilya: Israeli forces detained two Palestinian siblings from the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, at dawn on Thursday, shutting down all the entrances leading to the village with earth mounds. Meanwhile, colonists vandalized agricultural equipment and damaged two vehicles.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the village council, Muwaffaq Ubeid, reported that Israeli troops stormed the village from its main southern entrance, deploying through several neighborhoods and breaking into homes belonging to the Obeid, Shteiwi, Ali, and Amer families. He stated that occupation forces arrested the brothers, Sobhi and Muhammad Saqr Obeid, after searching their homes and causing massive damage. They also raided the homes of Jamal Jumaa and Bashar Shteiwi, expelled their residents, and turned them into military points.

A military bulldozer closed several side roads with earth mounds, including the roads of Haraiq Abu Ali, al-Najma, al-Shajara, and al-Hashahs, as soldiers set up a checkpoint in the village center, imposing restrictions on the movement of residents and preventing them from leaving their homes.

Earlier, colonists damaged agricultural equipment used for olive harvesting in the eastern part of the village, belonging to Luay Awni Ali and Ismail Musa Ali. They also damaged two vehicles owned by Muhammad Khatib Ubaid and Mahmoud Abdul Qader Shteiwi.
