Israeli Forces Detain Palestinian Man and Establish Checkpoints Near Jerusalem


Jerusalem: Israeli forces assaulted and detained a Palestinian man on Monday at a roundabout in the village of Jaba, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources. They reported that Israeli troops targeted the man’s vehicle, physically assaulted him, and subsequently detained him.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the incident in Jaba was part of broader military actions in the area. In a related move, occupation forces established two military checkpoints in the Al-Jisr and Al-Muhadda areas within the town of Silwan, located south of Al-Aqsa Mosque. These checkpoints have been reported to obstruct the movement of Palestinians in the region.
