Israeli Forces Detain at Least 50 Palestinians in Overnight Raids Across West Bank

Jerusalem: Israeli forces detained at least 50 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported that the majority of arrests were concentrated in the Qalqilya and Jericho governorates, with the remainder occurring in the Jenin, Bethlehem, Nablus, and Ramallah governorates. In addition, Israeli forces continue to conduct daily field interrogations in the town of Beit Ummar in the Hebron governorate.

The PPS highlighted that the arrests and field interrogations are accompanied by abuse and assaults against the detainees and their families. This includes direct gunfire with intent to kill, using detainees as hostages, and extensive destruction and vandalism of Palestinian homes.

The PPS further noted that Israeli authorities carry out these arrest campaigns as a prominent and systematic policy implemented daily against Palestinians across all segments of society. Since the beginning of the genocide war, approximately 20,500 arrest cases have been reported in the West Bank.
