Israeli Forces Detain 24 Palestinians in Coordinated West Bank Raids

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces detained 24 Palestinians on Monday during military raids across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in the Bethlehem governorate, the occupation forces detained four Palestinians, including three brothers, after raiding and searching their homes in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of the city. In the Nablus governorate, a Palestinian resident of Qabalan was detained after Israeli soldiers stormed his home and assaulted him. The soldiers also vandalized a plastic greenhouse belonging to a local resident in Qabalan.

In the village of Zawana, west of Nablus, a young Palestinian man was detained following a raid and search of his house by Israeli forces. Early Monday, the Israeli army conducted raids in the village of Beit Furik, the Balata and Askar refugee camps east of Nablus, and the town of Aqraba south of the city, carrying out home searches. During the raid in Beit Furik, a woman fainted when soldiers stormed her house and assaulted her children.

In the Hebron governorate, Israeli occupation forces detained 10 Palestinians, including three brothers, after raiding, searching, and wreaking havoc in their homes in the towns of Beit Kahil and Idhna. During the military incursions, Israeli soldiers assaulted several residents and ransacked homes. The forces also established multiple military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps, while closing a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, cement blocks, and dirt mounds.

In the Qalqiliya governorate, Israeli occupation forces detained five Palestinians during raids in the city of Qalqilya and the town of Hableh. Israeli soldiers stormed and searched homes, detaining several young men. During the raids, Israeli soldiers fired illumination flares over the town and distributed warning leaflets before withdrawing after approximately six hours. In a separate incident, the occupation forces raided the village of Hajja and detained a former prisoner after searching his home.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli occupation forces detained three Palestinians, including a minor, during military raids into the towns of At-Tur and Abu Dis. Two Palestinians were detained during a military incursion into At-Tur, while a minor was detained after soldiers stormed a residential building in Abu Dis.
