Israeli Forces Detain 13 Palestinians in Qalqilya During Raids

Qalqilya: Israeli occupation forces early on Sunday detained 13 Palestinians during wide-scale raids in the eastern part of Qalqilya Governorate, in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the army raided the town of Jayyous, resulting in the detention of several individuals. Those detained include Saher Nofal, Sameh Samha, Moatasem Abu Sa'da, Osama Abu Sa'da, Hakam Salim, Wael Shamasneh, Alaa Shamasneh, Arkan Bayda, Ahmed Nabil Khaled, Karam Nofal, Anas Khaled, and Murad Walid Al-Qaddumi. The arrests were made after the soldiers searched their homes and tampered with their contents.

Additionally, Zakaria Balasma was detained following an Israeli army raid on his home in the village of Kafr Laqif, east of Qalqilya.

Israeli forces have also tightened military restrictions around Qalqilya, closing the city's eastern entrance and the entrances of nearby villages, including Nabi Elias, Kafr Laqif, Jinsafut, Al-Funduq, and Hajjah, with iron gates, which severely restricts movement in the area.
