Israeli Forces Demolish Under-Construction Palestinian Home Near Jenin

Jenin: Israeli occupation forces on Monday demolished a Palestinian home under construction in the village of Jalboun, east of Jenin, according to a local official. Ibrahim Abu al-Rub, head of the Jalboun village council, stated that Israeli forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, entered the village and dismantled a 150-square-meter house belonging to local resident Hassan Asaad Abu al-Rub.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli authorities had previously issued a stop-work order for the house several months ago. The order was justified by the house's proximity to a section of the separation and annexation wall constructed on village land.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that Israel demolished 588 Palestinian structures in the first half of this year. This affected at least 843 individuals, including 411 children. During the same period, 556 demolition orders were issued, with 322 targeting inhabited homes.
