Bruqin: Israeli occupation forces Tuesday demolished two inhabited homes in the town of Bruqin, west of Salfit Governorate, under the pretext of building in Area C.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Bruqin Municipality Director Amin Sabra reported that Israeli bulldozers demolished two homes owned by citizens Muhammad Khaled Sabra and Alaa Mahmoud Barakat in the area known as "Al-Buq'an." Despite being inhabited for approximately seven years, the homes were razed to the ground.
Sabra noted that the occupation authorities had delivered notices to dozens of citizens in the town, warning them of potential demolitions of their homes. This move is seen as part of an ongoing policy targeting the Palestinian presence in Area C.
It is worth noting that home demolitions in Salfit Governorate have significantly escalated since the beginning of the comprehensive Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Particularly in Area C, which constitutes approximately 75% of the governorate's area, demolitions have become a common occurrence.
