Israeli Forces Demolish Three Homes of Slain Palestinians Near Jenin

Qabatiya: Israeli occupation forces blew up three houses in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, on Thursday. The operation targeted the homes of the families of slain Palestinians Wael Idris Lahlouh, Mohammad Nazzal, and Mohammad Zakarneh.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli forces had previously assassinated Wael Idris on December 1, 2024, by bombing an agricultural room in Seir, south of Jenin. Mohammad Nazzal was killed on January 22, 2025, after being besieged in Burqin, west of Jenin. Mohammad Zakarneh was similarly targeted and killed near Masiliya, south of Jenin.

The Israeli operation commenced at dawn with a significant military presence, involving numerous vehicles and bulldozers. During this raid, several homes were converted into temporary military bases, and numerous young men were detained and allegedly abused by the forces. Among those detained were two brothers whose homes were reported to have been raided and vandalized.

The affected families had been notified of the planned demolitions on June 20. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented that 588 structures have been demolished by Israeli authorities in the first half of this year, impacting 843 individuals, including 411 children.
