Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces demolished a three-story residential building in the Ard al-Deir area of al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, on Tuesday. The building belonged to brothers Iyad and Alaa Omar Issa (Abu Ghalioun) and was demolished under the pretext of lacking a building permit.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces, accompanied by several bulldozers, stormed the Ard al-Deir area west of the town, sealing it off and preventing residents from moving freely. They also fired tear gas and stun grenades, though no injuries were reported.
The demolition of the building has sparked anger and tension among the residents of al-Khader. The incident highlights the ongoing issues surrounding building permits and the impact of such demolitions on local communities.
