Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday demolished a Palestinian home in the town of Silwan, located south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers entered the Al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan and carried out the demolition of a 50-square-meter home belonging to Kazem Abu Shafe'. The home was occupied by four residents.
In addition to the demolition of the Abu Shafe' home, the occupation forces dismantled a wall and destroyed the gate of the Bashir family's home in the same neighborhood. Witnesses noted that Israeli soldiers took positions on rooftops of several homes during the operation, which contributed to heightened tension in the area.
